About SLWB
SriLankans Without Borders (SLWB) is a not-for-profit network based in Toronto that provides young Canadians of Sri Lankan origin with opportunities to connect, build and lead initiatives that promote dialogue, reconciliation andpeace in the diaspora community in Canada. We are committed to building an inclusive space where Canadians of Sri Lankan origin can come together, regardless of political, ethnic or religious differences, to understand, acknowledge and stand in solidarity in order to bring about meaningful peace, justice, truth, and the upliftment of all our communities in Canada.

What We Offer
SLWB is looking for individuals who want to develop their skills, learn a lot and contribute to a great cause.
- Internships begin June 1st to September 1st
- Internships range from one to three months
- Paid and unpaid positions are available; paid positions entail a combination of volunteer and compensation hours
- Responsibilities will vary but can include: event coordination, administration, fundraising, design, etc.
- You will be an integral part of building an organization that is growing quickly and that has a positive impacton the Sri Lankan diaspora
- Opportunity to network with successful Canadians, build your resume and work in a positive environment
- Have a high-level impact through interactions and mentorship provided directly by the Board of Directors
- All interns who successfully fulfill their responsibilities will obtain a certificate of completion and arecommendation from Sri Lankans Without Borders

The Samadhana 2012 Benefit Reading Series seeks to not only celebrate the rich and diverse literary talent of authors, poets and spoken word artists from the Sri Lankan diaspora in Canada and USA but to also inspire others in the diaspora to write, speak and engage with each other in honest dialogue about their own experiences.
